The Forsyte Saga

The Forsyte Saga brought the English writer John Galsworthy (1867–1933) world fame and the Nobel Prize in Literature. In the pragmatic world of the Forsytes, neither romantic passions nor full-blooded feelings are recognized. The Forsytes are respectable bourgeois whose lives are completely subordinated to proprietary interests, which form the basis of their well-being and power. But their world can turn into chaos when someone starts listening to their heart and chooses the path to happiness.

The second volume includes the novel To Let.
