The Systems Bible: The Beginner's Guide to Systems Large and Small

The ideas in the book are quite good and thought-provoking, and I would give a higher score if:

• The writing style was nicer. The manner in which the book is written looks like the author is patronising the readers, and it leaves a bitter aftertaste.
• A number of examples in the book are easily challengeable. While I mostly agree with the points made by author, the argumentation is sometimes very weak.
• Overall the mood of the book is quite depressing. After reading the first few chapters I had the feeling that resistance is futile :) I'd expect to have some more answers on how to tackle the problems of the systems. We have tons of examples where things gone bad (a whole section of those in appendix), but very little amount of cases (if any), where things went well.
